Community education is a responsibility that we take very seriously. From school programs, to churches and civic organizations, Paris BPU has an educational program available for all ages.

School Programs

Young people not only represent our future customers, but potentially our future employees. Paris BPU proudly partners with local schools to make a variety of programs available to teachers and students. Safety programs are available for various age groups or can be customized to work in classrooms as needed. The safety programs are designed to demonstrate the dangers of electricity with adjustable levels of depth for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Fats, Oils and Grease, Water Treatment, Leadership and Career programs can also be customized to meet the needs of individual groups.

Churches/Civic Organizations

Our neighborhood energy saver workshops are our most requested community presentation. Led by Barry Flood, Paris BPU Energy Solutions Manager, these workshops provide attendees with low cost, easy, energy saving tips/tricks. During the presentation, attendees are encouraged to ask questions and get hands on with the variety of displays on hand.

Additionally, programs/presentations on our electric department, water/wastewater departments and Paris BPU’s history/role in our community are available upon request.
