Paris, TN – The Paris Board of Public Utilities is beginning a 400-day sewer system rehab project. This project is the largest in Paris BPU history and will help identify and repair areas for system improvements. This project will require multiple contractors working for BPU within the Paris BPU service area to survey, clean and rehab the existing sewer infrastructure. Workers are expected to begin the project this week and will be in the area for the next several months.
“Paris BPU is committed to providing safe, reliable and affordable utility services to the residents of Paris and Henry County,” said Tony Brown, Vice President, Water and Wastewater Operations. “The purpose of this project is to inspect and rehab sewer infrastructure. We hope to prolong the life of our system, while also improving the reliability of our wastewater system”
To properly survey the system, contractor workers will need full access to manholes which could lie on private property. Customers who have concerns about the legitimacy of workers on their property are encouraged to contact Paris BPU at 731-642-1322 for more information.
